Hi, I'm Rich Woodall, creator of Johnny Raygun! This is my part of the sit to tell you a little about me. Well I'm 28, I've got a wife (Melissa) and 2 kids (Rebekah and Alex). We all live in New Hampshire, and freeze our butts off in the winter. The reason I'm doing Johnny Raygun is that I love comics, and when I say love, I mean I like everything about them, the feel of the paper, the smell of an old musty book store, the way you can stack comic boxes up to make a giant comic pyramid! I grew up on comics, for as long as I can remember I've had comics in my life... my mom read me the FF when I was a kid (it was the Byrne stuff, but I didn't know that then), but when I was very young I just wanted to read G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Star Wars comics. In my early teens I became a Marvel Zombie, and then came my mid-teens and I discovered Dark Horse, by my late teens Image had exploded, and I found myself collecting comics more for the art than for the stories. As I've gotten older I started looking into who influenced the artist that I enjoyed, it all came back to the King, Jack Kirby. His work ethic, and the love he put into his work shines though today, I can only hope that in the future people can look back at my work and say, wow, we can really tell he's havin' a good time doing Johnny Raygun. Cause really that's what it's all about, entertaining you the reader and entertaining myself. I hope you enjoy the book, all feedback is appreciated, we don't make any money off of the book, everything is put back into the printing of the next issue. Matt and I have been drawing Johnny's adventures for almost 2 years now and we haven't made a cent, we do it because we love it, and we hope you do too.
